Despite the fact that the Law Offices of Laurence A. Wanshel, PA, was recently formed in 2007, Mr. Wanshel was the litigation partner in the small firm of Cummins & Wanshel since 1979 until the death of Mr. Cummins in March, 2007. Mr. Wanshel has in excess of 33 years of day to day practice in the Courts and his office.

He remains a small firm to accommodate his clients and to remain accessible by direct contact with clients who want to have easy contact with the attorney they hired to represent their interests. We give an honest assessment of your case and only take cases wherein the client has a realistic chance of success. We try to make cases affordable to our clients based upon the factual and legal circumstances of each case. Many of our cases come from attorney referrals throughout Miami-Dade County and from attorneys in other states.

Mr. Laurence A. Wanshel first admitted to practice law in the state of Florida in October 0f 1975. In the early part of his carrier, he practiced civil litigation with the Law Offices of Acosta & Duran from 1975 to 1978 and Lopez & Harris from 1978 to 1979. In 1979 he formed a law practice with Jeffrey Drew Cummins forming the Law Offices of Cummins & Wanshel. Mr. Cummins was primarily involved in transaction work while Mr. Wanshel was the litigation partner for the firm. During that period of time, Mr. Wanshel tried hundreds of cases in the Courts throughout the State of Florida.

Despite the fact that the Law Offices of Laurence A. Wanshel, PA, was recently formed in 2007, Mr. Wanshel was the litigation partner in the firm of Cummins & Wanshel from 1979 until Mr. Cummins' death in March, 2007. Mr. Wanshel has been practicing law for over 33 years. He has intentionally elected to keep his firm small to be directly accessible to his clients, and have personal contact with his clients. In larger law firms often your case is often assigned to a young associate without experience practicing law. The client sometimes does not know the attorney on a personal basis who is actually handling his case and can experience difficulties communicating with his or her attorney directly. This is not the case in the Law Office of Laurence A. Wanshel, P.A., wherein communication and consultation is always given directly by Mr. Wanshel. Mr. Wanshel always handles himself those cases he accepts in the areas of the law in which he practices with out referring out these cases to another firm or lawyer.

Although Mr. Wanshel has been practicing law for over 34 years, he has not lost his enthusiasm to help his clients in resolving their problems. Mr. Wanshel prides himself in being an extremely competent nuts and bolts attorney who has the gift of communicating and explaining complex legal principals in a simplified fashion with his clients. He tries his best to get along with his clients no matter how difficult or unrealistic their expectations might be regarding the resolution of their problem.

Mr. Wanshel has built his reputation through hard work and his love in serving the best interests of his clients. His goal is to resolve his clients' problems in a realistic and ethically fashion by providing them with an honest assessment of their case, and advising his clients from the outset whether or not they have a realistic chance of success. Because of Mr. Wanshel's experience in litigation and trial work in the areas of the law that he practices, he is extremely well versed in all aspects of trial procedures and the rules of evidence to obtain compensation or relief for his clients from civil wrongs. Mr. Wanshel has been a member of the Florida Bar since 1975 and mostly practices law in Miami-Dade, Broward, Monroe, and Palm Beach Counties in the Florida County and Circuit Courts He has also handled several appeals throughout his career in District Courts upon his clients insisting upon him personally handling and defending an appeal of a trial. Mr. Wanshel is also a member of the Federal Bar in the Southern District of Florida and the middle district of the State of Florida. Because of the population diversity in the South Florida area, he represents his client coming from every imaginable area of the world. His communication skills allow him to deal with cultural differences to a point where each client participates in and receives consultation in the area of dispute that is brought to Mr. Wanshel's attention. However, Mr. Wanshel has primarily been helping local members of the community in the South Florida area since he began practicing law.

Mr. Wanshel has also had considerable experience in representing certain professionals, including realtors, mortgage brokers and physicians in administrative proceedings relating to either the suspension or revocation of their license.
